Shariah Disclaimer

ZakatSuite provides educational estimates based on widely used Shariah principles; it is not a fatwa authority. Read the full disclaimer on methodology, madhhab differences and when to consult a qualified scholar.

Methodology

Calculations use the majority positions shared across the four schools: a Nisab of 87.48 grams of gold or 612.36 grams of silver, a rate of 2.5% on net zakatable wealth, debts due deducted, and a full lunar year (hawl) of ownership. Reference metal prices are indicative; the live tools reprice thresholds at the moment of calculation.

When to consult a scholar

This platform is an educational aid, not a fatwa authority. Cases involving estates, business partnerships, disputed ownership, novel financial instruments, or a point where your school's position differs from the majority view used here should be taken to a qualified scholar who can examine the documents and circumstances. Estimates on this site follow widely used Shariah principles; for complex cases, confirm with a qualified scholar.
