About ZakatSuite — Free Zakat Calculators & Islamic Finance Tools

ZakatSuite is a free, browser-based Islamic finance platform. Its purpose is simple: to make Zakat — the third pillar of Islam — easy to work out correctly. Zakat is 2.5% (one-fortieth) of a Muslim's net zakatable wealth that has reached the Nisab threshold and been held for one full lunar year (hawl), distributed to the categories named in the Quran (9:60). The arithmetic is simple in principle and fiddly in practice: gold and silver at market value, cash and savings, business stock, shares, cryptocurrency, pensions, debts that may or may not be deductible, and a Nisab that moves with metal prices and differs by currency. ZakatSuite exists so that nobody has to do that arithmetic alone, in a spreadsheet, or by guesswork. Every calculator on the site runs entirely in the visitor's own browser: the figures entered are processed on the visitor's device and are never sent to ZakatSuite's servers, and no account or sign-up is required to use any calculator.

What the platform covers

The platform publishes 209 free tools across eleven groups: Zakat Calculators, Digital Assets & Investments, Islamic Obligations, Nisab & Threshold Tools, Currency & Conversion, AI & Smart Tools, Reports & Compliance, Country-Specific Tools, Islamic Fintech Tools, Prayer & Calendar Tools, and Zakat Education Tools. Alongside the calculators sit country guides covering 195 countries, each with its currency, its Nisab values in local terms, and the calculators adapted to that country — so a visitor in Pakistan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Malaysia or Nigeria works with their own currency and rates rather than converting from somebody else's. The advanced calculator on the calculator page brings the main asset classes together in one place: cash, gold, silver, crypto, stocks and business assets, with debts deducted and the gold and silver Nisab compared side by side, plus a downloadable PDF report for personal records.

Ramadan 2027: timetables for 144 cities

ZakatSuite's seasonal focus is Ramadan 2027 (1448 AH), expected to begin on Monday 8 February 2027, subject to moon sighting. The site publishes a full 30-day Sehri and Iftar timetable for each of 144 cities worldwide, calculated for that city itself — its own coordinates and time zone — with the calculation method customary in its country. The four Sunni madhabs share the same Sehri and Iftar times and differ only in Asr, so every city page prints both Asr columns and lets the visitor select their madhab; a separate Jafari view shows the Shia precautionary convention, clearly labelled. Each city page also offers a branded PDF calendar to print or share. Around the timetables sit the Ramadan hub with its countdown and key dates, a guide series on the fast itself, Fidya, Kaffarah, Taraweeh, Laylat al-Qadr and Itikaf, free prayer-time browser notifications for the visitor's own city, and a community where Ramadan and Zakat questions can be asked and answered.

How the content is researched

The site is maintained by the ZakatSuite Research Team, which researches the published rules the calculators implement, builds them as tools, and keeps the educational content current; the editorial approach is set out on the Editorial Policy page. Nisab weights follow the published standards used across the site: 87.48 grams of gold and 612.36 grams of silver. Where scholars differ — gold versus silver Nisab for cash, Zakat on jewellery in personal use, the treatment of long-term debts — the site presents the difference fairly rather than declaring one view the only view, and the Shariah Disclaimer page states the limits plainly: ZakatSuite is a tools and education platform, not a fatwa service, and personal rulings should be confirmed with a qualified local scholar, especially for health, debt, business and family cases.

Free, and supported by advertising

ZakatSuite is free to use and is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense, as described in the Privacy Policy; analytics and advertising cookies are denied by default until the visitor accepts them in the consent banner. The calculators themselves carry no charge, no paywall and no account requirement. Questions about any page, tool or result can be sent to the address on the contact page, and corrections are treated as the highest priority: a verified error is corrected promptly and the page's last-updated date is changed with it.
