For Jakarta, the table below prints every fasting day of Ramadan 1448 AH — Sehri, Sunrise, Dhuhr, both Asr times, Iftar and Isha for each of the month's thirty days, 8 February 2027 to Tue, 9 Mar 2027. Ramadan is expected to begin on Monday 8 February 2027 in Indonesia, subject to the sighting of the new moon, and to end with Eid al-Fitr around 9–10 March 2027. The shape of the month in Jakarta: the fast begins at 13 hours 41 minutes on day 1 (Fajr 04:36, Maghrib 18:17) and ends at 13 hours 29 minutes on day 30 (Fajr 04:40, Maghrib 18:09). Every time is computed for Jakarta by the Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia method (Asia/Jakarta). Elsewhere in Indonesia, longitude shifts the minutes; a local mosque timetable outranks this city table wherever the two disagree.
Reading a row in Jakarta: the fast begins at Fajr, so Sehri — the pre-dawn meal the Prophet ﷺ called a blessing — must finish by the Fajr time in the Sehri column, 04:36 on day 1 and 04:40 on day 30, and many families stop eating a few minutes earlier as a precaution. Nothing is eaten or drunk from Fajr until Maghrib, when the fast is broken at the Iftar time, traditionally with dates and water before the Maghrib prayer. In Jakarta that wait is 13 hours 41 minutes on the first day and 13 hours 29 minutes on the last. The drift is the reason the table exists row by row: Fajr moves 4 minutes later in total and Maghrib 8 minutes later, a minute or two at a time, which is why a printed time from the first week should never be reused in the last. The most charged nights of the month fall inside this table — the last ten nights begin at Maghrib on 27 February 2027, and Laylat al-Qadr is sought on the odd nights beginning at Maghrib on 27 February, 1, 3, 5 and 7 March, with the 27th night of Ramadan beginning at Maghrib on 5 March; in Jakarta that night's fast has run from Fajr 04:40 to Maghrib 18:10.

The madhab selector on the live page exists for exactly one column. Fajr and Maghrib — the two ends of the fast — are not a madhab question in Jakarta: all four schools fast from the same dawn to the same sunset. What differs is Asr: the Shafi'i, Maliki and Hanbali calculation, printed here as 15:23 on day 1, begins when a shadow equals the object's length, while the Hanafi calculation, 16:30 on day 1, waits for twice the length — 67 minutes later in Jakarta. A household in Jakarta that mixes madhabs can therefore share one calendar honestly: one Sehri, one Iftar, and two Asr times, each person praying by their own school.
For Jafari readers in Jakarta, the live page carries a separate Jafari tab built from this same table. Applied to Jakarta: day 1 Sehri 04:26 (Fajr 04:36 minus 10) and Iftar 18:29 (Maghrib 18:17 plus 12); day 30 Sehri 04:30 and Iftar 18:21. The adjustment touches only the two ends of the fast; it does not move Dhuhr, Asr or Isha, and it is presented as Jafari fiqh practice so that no reader mistakes a precautionary time for the Fajr or Maghrib of the main method.
Dua at Sehri (intention): Wa bi-sawmi ghadin nawytu min shahri Ramadan — "I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan." Dua at Iftar: Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa 'alayka tawakkaltu wa 'ala rizqika aftartu — "O Allah, I fasted for You, I believe in You, I trust in You, and I break my fast with the provision You have given." Keep both short duas by the table in Jakarta: the first is said quietly with the intention before Fajr (04:36 on day 1), the second at the moment of Iftar, with dates and water, before the Maghrib prayer. In the last ten nights add the Laylat al-Qadr dua taught by the Prophet: Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa fa'fu 'anni — "O Allah, You are Pardoning and You love pardon, so pardon me."
How this Jakarta calendar was calculated: calculation method Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia, calculation point Jakarta (Asia/Jakarta). Fajr and Isha rest on the method's sun angles; Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib follow the sun's actual position over Jakarta. Mosques in Jakarta may differ by a minute or two where they add a precaution at Fajr or Maghrib; that difference is deliberate, not an error, and the mosque you pray with is the timetable to follow on the day.
Why thirty rows when Ramadan may end at twenty-nine? Because the month is completed at 30 only when the Shawwal crescent stays unseen on the 29th evening. The table prints all thirty so both endings are covered: an Eid announced in Indonesia after 29 fasts retires the last row unused, and its 18:09 Iftar in Jakarta never happens. If Indonesia's start is announced a day later than 8 February 2027, the whole table shifts by one row — the times move with the dates. Method differences show up at the edges of the day — the Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia Fajr of 04:36 and Isha of 19:29 on day 1 are convention, while Dhuhr (12:07), Asr and Maghrib are the sun itself, which is why rival tables agree on Iftar and quarrel politely over Sehri.
Finally, a practical word for people whose days are long or whose work is physical: fasts of 13 hours 41 minutes at the start becoming 13 hours 29 minutes by the end. Where health, medication, pregnancy or travel enters the picture, the ruling may change entirely. Read the exemption guides below before deciding anything alone, and ask a scholar where your case is unclear: the fast is precious, and so is the health it was never meant to destroy. May Allah accept your fasting, your prayers and your charity throughout the month.
Planning in Jakarta runs on Monday 8 February 2027 as the first day of Ramadan 1448 AH, pending the moon sighting that confirms it. Should the start be announced a day later, the month begins a day later and every date in this table shifts by one day — the times themselves, computed for Jakarta, barely move between neighbouring days.
The first Sehri deadline in Jakarta is 04:36 in Jakarta, and Iftar is at Maghrib 18:17. From that Fajr, nothing is eaten or drunk until Iftar — a fast of 13 hours 41 minutes. Fajr drifts 4 minutes later across the month in Jakarta, ending at 04:40 on day 30, while Iftar moves to 18:09.
Times here follow the Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia method for Jakarta (Asia/Jakarta), which is the convention customarily used for this part of Indonesia. Fajr gives the Sehri end time and Maghrib gives Iftar; the method's sun angles are what fix Fajr at 04:36 and Isha at 19:29 on day 1, while Dhuhr (12:07) and Maghrib follow the sun directly. Communities and mosques occasionally adjust by a minute or two for precaution, so treat your local mosque's timetable as final where it differs slightly. A branded PDF calendar for Jakarta, in the madhab you select, can be downloaded from the live version of this page.
Asr is where the madhab choice shows up in Jakarta's table — Sehri and Iftar do not change. On day 1 the Shafi'i, Maliki and Hanbali Asr is 15:23, while the Hanafi Asr is 16:30 — 67 minutes later. The Shafi'i, Maliki and Hanbali position starts Asr when the shadow matches the object's height; the Hanafi position starts it when the shadow reaches twice the height, which is why the Hanafi time always falls later. If you pray in congregation, follow your mosque's column; the printed table keeps both so a household of mixed madhabs can still share one calendar.
In Jakarta the month peaks on day 1: 13 hours 41 minutes from Fajr 04:36 to Maghrib 18:17 (Mon, 8 Feb 2027). Day 1 lasts 13 hours 41 minutes and the last day 13 hours 29 minutes, with the shortest fast — day 28, 13 hours 29 minutes — in between. Because Jakarta is in the southern hemisphere (latitude -6.2), Ramadan 2027 falls in late summer there: the days are long at the start of the month and shorten as it proceeds, which is the mirror image of the northern pattern.
The Jafari tab on this page applies the customary precaution: Sehri ends 10 minutes before the Fajr in the main table, and Iftar begins 12 minutes after Maghrib. On day 1 in Jakarta that means Sehri by 04:26 (Fajr 04:36 minus 10 minutes) and Iftar at 18:29 (Maghrib 18:17 plus 12 minutes). Nothing else in the table changes for Jafari readers: the adjustment touches only the start and end of the fast, and it is labelled as Jafari practice rather than mixed into the Sunni madhab columns.
